Nanna Family Adventures

This blog is about the happenings of the Nanna Family and especially about our little blessings from China. We have 4 amazing bio kids ages 27,25,21, and 15. In Dec 2006 we adopted Kylee, 18 months at the time, now 4yo and in Dec 2008 we adopted Lily, age 2 1/2, (now 3yo). Reading other people's blogs really helped us to know what to expect and answered so many of our questions so we decided to do the same.
Adoption has been in my heart since I was very young and as a believer I have seen first-hand what it means to be adopted into God's family. We are so thankful to be able to build our family through adoption.

We started early this morning with Lily's passport photo.

Then we headed to the medical exam. Lily did well with the medical exam...not too happy about it but that is to be expected. The doctors seemed a little unsure about her but we assured them that we understand her need. I am so anxious to get her to Cinncinati. We may have to go sooner than we had hoped.

  1. I'm so happy for you guys! I can't wait to see Lily! I can already tell that Lily and I will have a special bond! If what I have been through has allowed you to be able to adopt another special need similar to mine, then all that I have been through is worth it to me!!! I love and miss you alot! Tell Everyone I said hi!

  2. Congratulations! I thought of you when we were celebrating forever family day over the weekend. Uncle Charles presented Betsy with a 30-minute edited video (at last) and of course Kylee is in it. Travel safely and God bless you all!
